The Hen House has been running wraparound provisions within schools since 2018.

Our breakfast and after school clubs are based in the school halls or classrooms but also benefit from the use of other school facilities and playgrounds.

Breakfast Club runs from 7.30am until the start of school at a cost of £6.00 per session Monday - Friday.

A nutritious breakfast is provided each morning. Children are encouraged to help themselves, sit and eat together and then help tidy up afterwards: the idea is to emulate a family breakfast meal. We aim to finish the session with 15 minutes of play in the playground or hall before the school opens its gates. At the end of the session, the children are well fed, happy and ready to learn.

After School Club runs from the end of school until 6.15pm at a cost of £16.00 and £3.00 additional cost for a two-course dinner Monday - Thursday.

Every day our afterschool club will help children with their reading as well as provide areas for playing board games, construction, puzzles or arts and crafts. Alongside this there will be supervised group activities like den building as well as access to playing sports such as badminton, dodgeball, rounders and football.

At the start of each session every child will be given a fresh fruit and biscuit snack.

Then we’ll start an action-packed afternoon of activities and games.

An optional, two course dinner will be served at 4.45pm.

We take safeguarding very seriously and as such our staff are DBS checked and, as a minimum, completed paediatric first aid, child safeguarding and food hygiene qualifications.

 

We accept regular (contract) and ad-hoc bookings. Payment is made in advance or monthly if on a contract.
