About Us

Safeguarding

Our school is committed to and prioritises safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Our expectation is that all members of our school community, volunteers and contractors will share this commitment. This means that our school has Child Protection & Safeguarding Policy and Procedures actively in place. These documents can be found by going to the Policies page of this website.

Sometimes our school may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies to support families when there are concerns about a child’s welfare. We will ensure that our concerns about our children are discussed with their parents or carers first unless we have reason to believe that such actions would be contrary to that individual child’s welfare.

If you are concerned about your child’s welfare or another child at our school, please record your concerns and any observations or conversations heard and report them to our Designated Safeguarding Lead as soon as possible the same day. Please do not conduct your own investigation.

Our Designated Safeguarding Lead: Hannah Cole, Headteacher

Our Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads:
Richard Stanton, Senior Leadership Team and Yr 2 Class Teacher

Sophie Ireland, Senior Leadership Team, Inclusion Manager and SENDCo

Amanda Harling, Yr 1 Class Teacher

If your concerns relate to the actions or behaviour of a member of staff (which suggests that they are unsuitable to work with children) then you should report this to our Headteacher in confidence. If the concerns relate to the Headteacher, please contact the Chair of Governors who will take advice in order consider what action is necessary.

E-Safety or safeguarding children online is an integral part of our Safeguarding at school. Children are taught how to use the internet safely through PSHE and Computing lessons. On our 'Online Safety' page under the 'Key Information' tab, you will find further information, including links to support our community, children, parents, teachers and governors' understanding about how to safely navigate and use the Internet.
