Pupil Premium is allocated to children from low income families who are currently known to be eligible for FMS (Free School Meals) in both mainstream and non-mainstream settings and children who have been looked after continuously for more than six months. Since 2012 – 2013 it also includes children who have been eligible for FSM at any point in the last six years known as Ever Six.
Schools are free to spend Pupil Premium in any way which maximises the benefits and learning opportunities for pupils. We are accountable for the way in which we have used the additional funding to support children from low income families. We are required to publish on our website how we have used Pupil Premium to ensure that every Pupil Premium child makes the best progress of which they are capable from their individual starting points.
