GRAYSWOOD HOME SCHOOLING LEARNING ACTIVITIES
This half term (Summer Term 1) we will continue, on a daily basis, to provide you with some home schooling lessons and activities. These should help your learning and keep you busy (hopefully having some fun too!). Please try and complete some Maths and English every weekday and additionally, if you wish, there will be some topic work to undertake. This topic work is linked to the Summer Term 1 Year 3 Curriculum. Following on from this, we have attached the Year 3 Summer 1 Curriculum Map. Whilst this is not as detailed as it would usually be, it does include a number of learning objectives for the next 5 weeks. Useful links are underlined in blue. If there is something you find tricky, please do not worry, maybe you could think of your own alternative. We are thinking of you at home and are happy that you are safe with your families.
With the weekend Home Learning, we will be setting a differentiated reading comprehension. This will support the development of a plethora of reading skills, but is not essential to complete.
Please continue to use Spelling frame to practice and consolidate spellings. We will provide the children with the rule for the week, but please also remember to look at the Year 2 spellings as they contain patterns and rules that most children will benefit from working on.
Children should read for 20 mins at home every day/ night. They could also be read to.
Sharing and enjoying a book together just serves to enforce a love of reading and books.
Finally, and importantly, please do keep fit and active as far possible! Under the Summer Term subheading, we will also upload a fun daily PE Programme from Active Surrey. Have a go and see if you can challenge different members of the family! Obstacle courses in the garden, circuit training and, of course, don't forget Fancy Dress Friday, with Joe Wicks!
