In September 2019 we secured the services of The Hen House, a softplay and wraparound care provider based in the heart of Haslemere, to provide an onsite afterschool club. In January 2020, they were able to extend this service to include a breakfast club as well, thereby providing a full wraparound care service to our pupils.
The breakfast and after school clubs are based on the school premises with access to the library, teaching kitchen and playground as well as the spacious Grayswood Village Green.
Breakfast Club runs daily from 7.45-8.30am at cost of £4.95 per child per morning.
Each morning a nutritious breakfast is provided. The children are encouraged to help themselves, sit down and talk together, and then clear up their dishes: the idea is that our breakfast replicates as far as possible the atmosphere of a family meal. At the end of the session, the children are well fed, happy and ready to learn.
Afterschool Club runs daily from 3.00pm-6.15pm. The afterschool club is priced at £14 per afternoon, per child not including dinner. A two-course dinner is served at 4.45pm and costs an additional £2 per afternoon per child.
Every day our afterschool club will help children with their reading and homework as well as provide areas for playing board games, Lego, puzzles and arts and crafts. Alongside this there will be supervised group activities such as cooking and drama as well as more active sessions playing badminton, tennis and woodland walks.
Members of the breakfast and afterschool clubs will receive 10% off The Hen House’s holiday camps.
