Safeguarding at Grayswood CE Primary School
Grayswood CE Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff, volunteers and visitors to share this commitment.
This means that we have a Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy and procedures in place. All staff (including supply staff, volunteers and governors) must ensure that they are aware of these procedures. Parents and carers are welcome to read the policy on request; it is also available on our website.
Sometimes we may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies when there are concerns about a child’s welfare. We will ensure that any concerns about our pupils are discussed with his/her parents/carers first, unless we have reason to believe that such a move would be contrary to the child’s welfare.
Our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) is:
- Hannah Cole - Headteacher
Our Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads are:
- Amanda Harling- Year 1 Class Teacher (Mon-Wed)
- Sophie Ireland- Inclusion Manager and SENDCo (Wed-Thurs)
If you have any concerns about a child, you must make an accurate record on the designated form available from the office as soon as possible and within 24 hours of the occurrence. This includes the following details:
If your concerns relate to actions or behaviour of a member of staff then you should report this to the Headteacher, or in her absence the Chair of Governors, who will take the necessary action. If the concern relates to the Headteacher, please speak directly to the Chairs of Governors, Jackie Holmes - a member of the school office team will be able to provide you with contact details.
