Mr Richard Rowe, Interim Headteacher
Our school is situated in the idyllic village of Grayswood and is currently expanding from an infant to a primary school. Our school is still growing and developing and we are always keen to take on new initiatives that will make a positive difference to all the children in the school. Each September, we will have an additional Year Group until 2017 when we will reach our full capacity of 210 children from the Early Years Foundation Stage to Year 6.
We believe in creative and innovative teaching that engages pupils’ interest and inspires a love of learning; 'Assessment for Learning' is a key feature of our teaching and learning throughout the whole school. At present we are establishing a virtual learning environment throughout the school which gives pupils the opportunity to learn about E-Safety skills, access home learning, forums and safe messaging from home to extend their learning.
Our pupils enjoy bright classrooms as well as a number of other teaching areas including our Forest School. All classrooms have access to the outside and the Early Years has a large purpose-built outdoor area dedicated to outdoor learning;
